Re:Massey Harris 101 Jr PTO belt pulley?

I bought the parts tractor, and it no longer had the PTO belt pulley on it. The owner said it was adapted from a Ford N (he may have said a 9N) and it ran his firewood buzz saw, mounted on the back of the tractor. I've never seen so much destruction of an engine block: both sides of the block busted out at #3 and #4 pistons/connecting rods, right at the pan line. Might be a salvageable head, water pump, and governor, and that's about it for that engine. Thanks for all the comments on my previous post. steve

i knew it was not a massey harris thing. as they were all on the right side the same as all standard tractors are. i do have a rear belt pully for a 460 ih utility. and the w12 and w14 mccormicks used rear belt pulleys and i have 2 of them.

The engine in my new purchase. An F-162 Continental. I only wanted the wide front, and the clutch shaft, so I didn't care. When I looked over the FB Marketplace photos I could see a hole below the starter. The other side of the block was even worse. The owner explained he had blown it up, prior to me going to look at it. He did indeed, blow it up. It must have been a noisy fail!! I'll post a couple of pics in the morning, when its light out. steve
