listened to the weather guessers

A friend, Kelly in Texas, put together an impromptu vintage tractor ride to a Cracker Barrel for coffee this morning. We were going to go, flags and all. Last night after all the dire weather reports he canceled and I had to agree. The morning has been beautiful, 82 and light wind right now. The front is more than an hour away and we'd have been back by now. I wonder if I can believe it will freeze tonight. The first 2 events of the year were cancelled due to hang over worries of the disease. Now our ride and plowday tomorrow are cancelled. Bummer.

yep, evil. sad thing is, as bad as we need rain there was very little when it did come thru

John, just about the same here 4 miles from the plow day site. Until 1:30 it was sunny & 81*, then it rained hard for about 10 min, wind changed to the north. Now at 2:45 its 59* and falling with a 15-25 mph north wind.

I'm between Austin and Buda. We did get a little more about 3:30. Some areas in Austin and north got an inch or more. Some had hail.

There was a lot of sarcasm and frustration in my initial post. Austin TV weather covers 32 counties and about 150 to 200 miles from NW to SE. Yes the front and rain did hit the NW end of the viewing area early. On the plus side now I'll be able to get in the shop and get some blacksmithing done. Lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's for a week.
