The big cover up

Here on the west coast of Ca. We are getting some serious rain tomorrow. The big cover up begins. I try to keep my tractors covered, and anything else
I think needs covering. The lower part of my barn (shop) is enclosed. My 56 chevy, 69 Corvette, and my chevy flat bed. This 54 truck has been under
cover since Dad bought it new. That's all I have under a roof. I get a little envious when I see some of your tractors all happy in a covered shed. Stan

Glad you're getting a good rain...thought you guys were really dry?

Daughter driving around La Jolla texted she's in rain. Looking for it to flow downhill to So calif. My mustang in Indiana in a garage all covered and battery minded for the winter. Enjoy the welcome rain.

All of it was designed to be able to stand up to the elements. And no shed protects from condensation unless you use a dehumidifier.

Steve. I don't have a picture. The 56 belonged to my brother, it passed to me when he died a couple years ago. He was going to fix it one day. It sat outside for a lot of years. Not much to look at now. I have the hood off, and need to pull the engine. It doesn't turn over, probably from setting. Brother bought a new corvette engine from Chevrolet back in the day. It was a fast car after that. Stan

Stan,
After buying a new Kubota in 2019, the next thing I did was buy a new pole barn for it.

Everything I have is covered up, even junk lawn mowers I keep for parts.

The farmer a mile away has 5 pole barns for his new Green Machines. He farms over 4000 acres and loves John Deeres.
He covers up all his equipment, no tarps.

I do not get condensation in my shed. It was specifically designed and built to prevent that. Neighbor has a shed that practically
rains on his equipment so he stores everything outside. Nothing rusts in my shed. No heat, either, other than sunlight.

Water has a way of getting in where it shouldn't. I had a can over the stack on one of one of my tractors. Water leaked in at the stack elbow where it comes out of the manifold, through a bad gasket. Stan

Do you have a humidity meter in there? Do you have air lock entry?
