Muck boots?

Looking for some boots for hunting. I have to cross water that will be more than ankle deep, so am considering muck boots. Are they durable? Any other similar boots that are less expensive?

I have a pair that is over 15 years old and the sole has just started to come off the right boot. Feet still stay dry doing chores. Im going to get a new
pair soon. I think they are worth money

Dairy boots can found under $25 in the non-steel toe version. Walmart also sells inexpensive rubber boots.

I wear Arctic Sport muck boots every day, about 6 months of the year. I can usually get 2 seasons of use out of a pair. I think they are very
comfortable in MN snow and mud seasons.

The original company that sold Muck boots
sold out. The company that bought them
immediately started having them made in
China. The quality when down hill. My
first pair of Muck Boots lasted a long
time. Every pair after that lasted less
and less longer to the point I was lucky
to get a year out of them. The original
company however started making a new brand
called Dryshod. So far they are more
comfortable and last far longer than the
Muck boots. They are not cheaper though.

My experience with Muck Boots was like 4010 said. I only had one pair and they didn't seem to last like I thought they should for the price. I now have a pair of Dryshod's I'm wearing again this year for the second year on the pair. My Mucks only made about 3 years I think then cracked at the side just about foot height.

When it comes to winter boots that are waterproof they trap
moisture. My feet sweat and my boots will be full of sweat by
lunch time.
I bought 2 pairs of boots. One for AM and one pair for PM.

I buy arctic boots that have a liner I can remove to help dry
boots. I put my boots over my baseboard heaters.

For the last several years I ve been buying myself and my sons Tidewe boots. They re a bargain knock off of Muck and Dryshod boots. They hold up as any Mucks I ve owed the last 20 years and they are considerably cheaper. Well under $100, depending on the style. My sons wear the crap out of boots, they have yet to wear a pair out. The first pair were worn by both boys until they outgrew them.

I've had a couple of pairs of muck boots, maybe get about 5 years out of a pair. They're warm, biggest drawback for me is they're slippery on ice. I've taken a couple spills with them.

I bought a pair of Itasca's at TSC because they were really comfortable and fit well, but I have done a lot
of patching with shoe goo! But they were under $50.
