Field Marshall

Some interesting old tractor trivia I've saved. I don't know but would bet my dad and uncle were at the demonstration. Wonder how long the Field Marshall ran on a tank of diesel? A long day I'd bet. From 1952.

I have the Kern Farm Equipment catalogue from 1952-53. That is where I found the Field Marshall contest thing. Quite interesting to look at the farm equipment.

I'd like to see that kind of demonstration at one of the tractor shows. Maybe belted to a sawmill and see how long it runs continuously. They usually use steam for those demonstrations, that's what everyone wants to see.

(quoted from post at 15:58:27 11/08/22) Back in 2019 i used mine one day for a bit of discing and then seeding. Ran continuously for 16 hours. Used about 5 gallons of fuel. first
time in a few years it was used to do any work with at all.
That is amazing fuel economy. I was going to guess maybe a gallon an hour but I'd have been so wrong. Your Field Marshall looks pretty good.
