MF 65 Lift Cylinder Stud sizes

I just purchased a new lift cylinder. Took the old studs out and they are smaller than the threads in the new cylinder. Old studs are 1/2 but the new cylinder appears to be for a 9/16 stud. Do I just need to buy a Helicoil kit? The old part looks like that was done. If so, where do I get a helicoil kit and size, 9/16 to 1/2 coil?
Thanks Terry Gunn

I would contact the seller about the problem before trying to modify it.

There is no thread insert to do what you want, the thread pitch is different from 1/2 to 9/16, the hole would be too big to tap for a 1/2 in repair coil.

A standard 1/2-13 thread bushing is 3/4-10 on the OD. Do you have enough room for that?

Possibly step studs could be bought or made, or the cover holes drilled, and 9/16 bolts used. Drilling the cover would probably be the best, the bolts may have been oversized for a reason.
