Im struggling to get the proper perspective of that, it looks more like a kids toy than something that actually runs.

Cool effect, made a neat puzzle.

Can anyone explain the advantage to the roller chain inside the track? I have seen it on other early crawlers but I don't know if they were Cletracs or not.

How would would you adjust the flat belt tension? I've seen this tractor
before and don't understand. I've always driven the tractor either
forward or backword to adjust the flat belt. On this one you would have
to drive sideways.

That's because the front idler really isn't an idler,it's a sprocket. They figured out pretty quick there was no
advantage to it.If you ever get the chance to go over one of those tractors you will find a dozen weird things on
it.The steering setup alone makes Rube Goldberg look like a simpleton. We have a Mead Morrison,or a Morrison Mead
here in town that uses the same sprocket in the front as the rear, but I don't know if it is driven or just used as
an idler.
