Tractors in snow storm.

Right now there is less than 1/8 of a mile visibility because
of snow and blowing snow. -7 Celsius with 30 to 60 kph
winds and more snow to come. Gotta love southern
Alberta.

Just please keep it up there a little longer, 76 fh and overcast in Beautiful Middle Tennessee

Yep a good reminder of why i need to get off my dead donkey and go work on the old junk snow blower . And not let this warm up fool me that winter is not hiding around the corner . Back when i was a kid snow as already on the ground as we always had snow for opening day of small game hunting the first week in Nov.

We could very easily be in your boat... oftentimes we are.

However, it's already almost 70 here at noon. Gotta love tropical Minnesota. ;)

I just came in from cutting wood this afternoon in a tee shirt. 60F and boy was it hot work. Land cost less per acre in Alberta than it does here just north of Lake Ontario, but there is a price to pay for living out west that isnt measured in Dollars and cents.

almost 70 here today, and will be 70 over the weekend. We often get a day or two like this, end of Oct. But never a solid 10 days straight. Deer season starts in two weeks, and I bet its not still 70 then!

Tim

Alberta...so that's where that darn -30 below stuff comes from here in Iowa in Feb! Gotta git more wind turbines up in the Dakotas and Minnesota. Leo

Hi 55 50 Ron. The moisture from the snow does help some by filling the sloughs and dug outs but marginally as far as growing the crop. We rely on rain to grow our crops and yes we where dryer than normal this year.

Hi Geo-TH,In. If youve never been to Alberta it is a beautiful province most of the time. Just not in the winter unless you are a skier.

Florida in the summer is toooooo hot.
Albertia is tooooooo cold in the winter.
That might explain why there are a lot of Canadian snowbirds in Florida.
Even your geese head south in the winter. What does that Tell you??

Alberia...
Used to live in the Rockies there. -40 is the same in Celcius [i:0d0365d82f]and[/i:0d0365d82f] Farenheit. Could count on 1-3 weeks of it every winter. Poor tobagganning in July & August, but you can still go boot-skiing in the mountains.
