Why can't you help him, red, he simply needs a new Welch plug (he has the part number) and clean the oil out of the bore, add a little sealant and expand the new plug into place.

Sure: Under the housing the welsh plug hole needs to be pretty spotless. Small wire brush is good. There should be Permatex #2 (non-hardening) put on the rim of the new plug. The plug is inserted to the ridge, then punched or hammered till flat. This expand the plug into the bore. Wipe up excess goo with alcohol. Jim
