1948 Farmall cub block

My block was welded by the lower radiator hose corner, just bought it over the weekend, did not noticed until I power the tractor down, I guess its known repair in that area in the cub block, I wouldnt had bought if I had seen it .
Thanks for any advice
 
I bet over half the Cubs still working today have that spot welded. If it ain't leaking, I wouldn't worry. I use my cubs a bunch, couple of them are welded there, they work fine! ( If it is leaking, clean the area and JB weld, no pressure behind it)
 
My goodness, I've been thinking... Never good, lol. If you are unhappy with that cub, keep the equipment you got with it and sell the cub. Should be able to get more than you paid for the package deal just for the tractor. Then find one you like. If I wasn't 1200+ miles away I would buy it in a heartbeat. You got my number, feel free to call anytime
