will these tires fit

i found a good used set of tires that im hoping will fit my case 970 which currently has 18.4-34 on 16in rims. the tires i have found are 480/70r34 i read on the specs that a 15in wheel is recommended but i figure it will probly work but wanted to get yalls opinion before i buy them.

480 is the width in mm
70 is 70% sidewall height / width ratio
34 is rim d in inches

So the issue is that 18-4 34 is same height than a 480/85 34, and the 70' will be shorter.

You need to find 480/80 r34 or 480/85r34 or 460/85r34, or even 520/70 r34

I don't know. A guy in the club bought a 930 with those tires with all the numbers but I don't know what they were, except that they were 34s. They look like something out of a cartoon. You can barely get your fingers between the fenders and the top of the tires.

Short answer they will fit. And I don't without hunting know if they make an 80 sidewall. I would get them if they are reasonable since tires are at such a premium it seems right now. I need a set of 18.4-38's in any form bias or radial if I can find some reasonable. I'm even considering some 42's with the step up lugs for the casting if I found some.

i dont really care about it affecting the speed or the height of the tire. as long as they fit on my wheels and hold air i will be fine with them.
