quality parts

Where do you go to get quality parts for your tractors I thought shopping on this site would be a good start I have purchased 3 starters for a ford 600 I get about a year out of them well not really I don't use my tractor in the winter I use lightly in the spring and summer and occasionly in the fall for boat storage I get about 50 starts out of it they are junk where can I get USA made parts

Purchase a used original starter and have it rebuilt. Few have found difficulty with YT sourced parts, but they can fail. Do your engines start easily? if not maybe faster starts would prolong the life of the starters. Jim

I purchased a 12v starter for Jubilee and gas tank.
I bought tune up kits for Farmall C and Jubilee from YT.
No complaints.

I'm betting there are other issues. If you gotta crank and crank to get it to run, that will over heat a starter and shorter it's life. Old ,bad battery cables,or bad connections also wear on a starter. I have a YT starter on a 600, 1000s of starts no issues.

It is possible you are getting bad starters if a bad run came from the same factory, but in all probability, there is another cause for their failure.

More information on the type of failure would be helpful.

If it is grinding the teeth off the drive gear, the flywheel gear is bad.

If the drive clutch is failing, or the windings burning up, possibly the starter is somehow remaining engaged while the engine is running.

If the battery is bad or not fully charged it will cause the solenoid contacts to arc or weld closed.
