I showed my son how to replace the points and condenser on the Jubilee. He did a good job. I showed him an old school trick how to dry time the engine. Then we check it with a timing light. It was spot on.
My boy someday wants the old tractor. Right now he doesn't have a place to store it and his yard in his subdivision is too small.

By boy works remotely at home in Plainfield. Some of the people on his team live in Florida and work remotely.
He occasionally goes into the home office downtown Indy.

After I'm gone he may someday live in the only house he grew up in if he had high speed internet.
He wouldn't have to worry about where to store the tractor if he moved back home..

Always good to pass on knowledge and spending time with your kids is as good thing

I really hope you guys can figure out a plan to someway your son can inherit the tractor and possibly get your home which appears to be very nice. My children live in the Houston in very strict subdivisions so I may have to sell my tractors later in life. I inherited 2 shops worth of first class tools from my father. My brother didnt want any and we did not have the luxury of time to sell anything because the house sold quickly. When the time comes its not always easy to plan and organize. Good luck George. nobody showed me anything on points or condensers. i was playing with them old iron horse engines before i was 10 years old and figured that out my self. then in grade 8 the teacher was teaching kinda a shop class thing and said when the points close u get a spark. i said when the points open you get the spark. lol. its easy to figure out,.. the points are staying closed till the piston comes up then they open.

I have a living trust for my son and daughter so all my real estate shouldn't be a problem.
I built a new pole barn in 2019 and put all my good stuff in the barn.
I have all my ducks in a row, hopefully.
My market investments show my kids as beneficiaries.

I have my houses in my kids names already and then a trust that has all my tractors, atv's and sleds, etc and 100 acres of land
