My favorite from the Early Days Show

There was a big turnout this year, tractors and spectators. My favorite was the Baby Rumley. Running, driving. It was good to visit with a number of YT'ers too.

I saw that! Someone did a really good job building it!

Built it for his daughter so she would have something to drive in the parades!

Steve, I came over looking for you about 3 or 3:30. I may have not gone far enough back toward the tower. John

I was pretty far back, on the right just past the Allison engine on the big trailer.

Strange thing, I had been out walking around and came back. My engine had been moved! Someone had turned the cart 90*, the crank handle was stuck on the end of the crank, and the propane bottle had been moved.

I couldn't imagine what had happened. At first I thought maybe you came by and took some pictures, and moved it for better lighting, but that didn't seem very likely.

A few minutes later the neighbor came over and told me a kid on a golf cart came through and hit it! I still don't know how that happened, it was up under the pop-up awning, and it didn't appear to have been moved or hit. I guess he drove in under the pop-up!

Didn't do any damage that I found, the neighbor said he picked up everything and found the crank handle off in the grass. Could have been worse!

I still believe kids have no business driving around at shows. Some years back a guy was letting a young (10 yo maybe) drive his tractor with a grain drill behind it. She turned to short and hit my tractor. I know kids drive early on the farm but it's different at a show. The opinion of a grumpy old man.
