Pictures from the Jacksonville, IL Steam Show

A few pictures from the Jacksonville, IL steam show this weekend. I went out Friday before the big rain storm and took most of my pics, then went back Saturday morning for the tractor pull.

There was actually a really good turn out of tractors, but I think a lot of them didn't show up early on Friday so my pics don't really reflect it well.

Even saw DPittman, centralilbaler, and kruser there!

Tractor pull got going about 2 hours late due to needing to work the track down after yesterday's pouring rain, but it was a fun time.

Trying to get what little video I took of the tractor pull uploaded. Will post in this thread later with a youtube link when I get done.

Is that a 55,an95 and a105 JD combines. Those 68 series IH tractors are sure pretty to bad they didn't pan out like they hoped. Thanks
for the pics, Jim.

It was good to see you Will. Thanks for the pics. Sorry I missed kruser and only talked to Kevin for a
minute or two. We were both preoccupied. That balance platform is tough, never did get it done after
bout 12 attempts.

Got some tractor pull video up!

Sparky720 -- You're welcome! It was a fun one. Wasn't much going on yesterday, but it was definitely getting busy today. Great weather for it, once the rains quit. Not sure if it dried out enough for them to play with harvesters in the beans or not.

muleman51 -- I wish I had gotten closer shots of some stuff to see what the series numbers were. Yeah those IH do look good, but definitely a shame how it worked for 'em. Didn't see any D21s this year, speaking of tractors that always look sharp.

DPittman -- Good to see you too. Glad I got a chance to say hi on Friday. I saw you driving towards the tractor pull this morning but never ran into you again after that. Got to chat with kruser and kevin for a bit, and then sat on the wagon with kruser to watch a bit of the pull.

I want to know if anyone managed to get the teeter totter balanced, it looked like a fun but super hard task. I got a clip of a WD-45 trying to balance it once in my tractor pull video.

Thank you for the great pictures...Don't believe I have ever seen an Allis Chalmers WC such as the one pictured in your 4th picture with the wide front.... I own a 1936 WC which is more like the one to the right of the wide front...

One of the Kirk Bros posted this to facebook; guess a guy on a Case was able to balance it!

SweetFeet -- Indeed, nice for it not to be in the middle of summer.

JK-NY & 4wdtom -- You're welcome!

bwillett -- I don't think I've ever seen a wide front WC like that either, it was pretty neat.

centralilbaler -- Good to see you, too! Sorry I didn't get a chance to circle back after all the pullin'.

Rich'sToys -- Yes, always good to see a good variety of colors, and to see some different equipment like combines or hay balers or implements or dozers or graders.

the 68 series Ih tractors didn't seem to work out very engine ideas. I wonder hoe they would work with computers for engines.
