This will wrap up the September/Fall series. Any requests?
Todays song dates back to 1960, it was written by Tom Jones for the musical
comedy play The Fantasticks.
The song has been covered commercially by an astounding 185 artists plus
several TV and movie soundtracks over the years! Gladys Knight had the most
success with the song, taking it to #11 on the US Hot 100 chart.
I chose the Andy Williams version because that is the one I am most familiar
with, listening to my mom play it from his LP.
Williams released the song on his 'The Shadow of Your Smile' album in 1966.
