I am looking for a TEE for those KATS heaters. Need the 1 1/2 dia. with the 5/8 inch on top for the hose going to the KATS 1500 WATT HEATER.
I HAVE FOUND SOME, BUT they are OUT OF STOCK. Would appreciate any help....

Look on Summit, Jegs, Speedway Motors, and such, likely they will be sold for installing a temp gauge or switch and the third, smaller hole will be threaded & you'll need threaded hose barb adapter to match the threads to the tank heater hose.

Used to be able to get these from Napa

and whats wrong with going to the hardware and buying the fittings in black pipe and nipples.

We just put the heaters right in the lower hose and plug them in. they are sized to fit the hose you have. You do have to buy the one to fit the hose. They work pretty well. I would like to be able to put a better tank heater on our 574 though. I don't want to cobble something into the bottom hose since they are curved from one end to the other on them.

the radiator hose is not the best place to put a block heater, you will be circulating the heated water through the radiator and it will cool back down.. Its best to pull from the block drain and return to a plug on the right side of the head.

Depends on the tractor. If the lower hose slants upward toward the inlet, the heater is installed in this area: heat rises. The heated water cannot go downhill and heat the radiator. If the lower hose is flat where it is clamped to the engine, then yeah, I would think of a different heating method.

(quoted from post at 14:39:19 09/20/22) I think that vibration would be your enemy here and that black iron would break.

The factory made kats tee in question is made of sheet metal.

Plus the rubber hoses act as vibration isolation.
