My Dixie starter

My JD 401b Industrial, starter would always turn over the motor, but sometimes it didn't start. I thought it was the battery. I would put the charger on it every couple days, it helped starting, but sometimes it didn't start. I decided it was a weak starter. At the start of my mowing season, I needed a tractor I could depend on, to start every time. I bought an after market starter called a Dixie,
I'm sure made in China. The starter has turned out to good. Tractor Startes great now. I would buy another, if I needed one. Anyone ever used a Dixie brand starter, or other electrical part? Stan

.O. had Dixie beer. Great ads, but not so much to my taste! :)

The smoke came out of my Neighbor's 16.5 hp briggs starter.
I'm guessing the MtD mower is at least 30 years old.
Must be the season for starters going bad.

I had an old girlfriend with that name,we do not mention that name around swmbo.
