Brillion sure stand parts

A friend had a Brillion seeder get loose on the road and the castings on one end got smashed. Are there any parts yards in the Minn/Wisc area that might have Brillion parts? Fry's are out.

Brillion is still in business as a subsidiary of Landoll. They're pumping those seeders out as fast as they can. Has he checked with a local dealer? They are very popular seeders, and are seldom seen in junk yards. An old one with manually removed wheels can still bring $3000 here in Wisconsin. Early hydraulic lift ones bring 5000 or more. Current models can bring 8000 plus. Just a few years ago, a new 12 footer was only about $9000. Dunno how much they are today.

I had a Brillion Cultipacker lose a bolt/hardware on one side and the rear axle/packer wheels, hinged off to one side and broke the casting. Right during spring planting. No luck with parts, I decided to weld it. I believe the casting was cast steel, it was really easy to weld. The welds were good, that casting never failed over the many seasons that followed.

Messicks in pa great online parts I needed a bearing my Brillion was so old the model wasn't in the online parts I called them parts man knew what I was talking about sent a pic and specs had 2 in 3 days. My arm to the back roller was welded when I started using it 24 years ago still holding.
