1955 international backhoe 606

Was there evidence of the shaft being damaged, run loose in the pump, spun undersize, the keyway wallowed?

The shaft must fit the pump correctly or it will damage the pump and continue to fail.
 
Not being familiar with your machine. Something to consider. Sometimes on older equipment the hydraulic system pressure regulator vale is built into the pump. If
you have replaced one of these types of pump, you will have to add a pressure regulator on the main line coming from the new pump.
 
Both pumps brand new main pump and the back piggyback pump bumped it it sure that key as soon as you get pressure on it I don't know what else to do about it

Oops phone missed the up main pump and Piggyback pump are new pumps but shearer 's the key in drive gear after 5 mins of use I know nothing about h.d.s
 
I looked up the spec on a International 606. Hydraulic system operate at 1550 psi and puts out 12 gpm but only shows were made from 1962 to 1967. Can't tell if a backhoe model is different.
