J.D. 790 Fuel Filter replacement problem

I ordered a J.D. replacement fuel filter (M801101) from the manual without looking at the actual filter on my tractor. It came in
today but wow, I have a problem and not sure what to think of it. I will try to post some pics of what is actually on the tractor.
What do I need for a filter, and how does it fit together.

That is a sediment bowl and screen assembly. It just gets cleaned and re installed. They usually don't need a true filter. If you decide to use one use one that is for gravity feed systems. if it has a fuel pump, put it before the pump. Jim

Check the parts catalog for your tractor at www.jdparts.com to see what factory options were available.

That doesn't happen unless there is profanity or politics in the post. Also I don't know how to tell you to put it together but it
only goes one way. Jim

Have you been to Deere parts website. I'm pretty sure they have a parts breakdown of the filter assembly. It is a stock assembly. I changed the one on my 3005(same tractor) about eight years ago. piece on far right goes in first, red ring goes on that, and screen assembly goes over that if I remember right. Check Deere parts diagram, if 790 don't show it, then try the 3005 model.
