What is a good price for a old Ford, the 860 for around $3000
I Have a Koyker 80 loader would that fit it?

I think you will be sadly disappointed with any of those smaller fords with a loader on then. The front ends are not designed for the weight of loaders let alone the extra load in the bucket. Then steering will become a problem for you with the weight. If you want a loader tractor get something bigger and a bit newer. More like the 70's or 80's model tractors with heavier front axles and heavier tractor. It is like any other piece of equipment some are suited for the job and some are not most of those older fords were not suited for loaders. The tractors of the 40's 50's and even some into the early 60's, loaders were an after thought. The tractors didn't have the hydraulics for loaders to run them well. Were slow lifting lower pressure, so had big cylinders to be able to do the lifting and front spindles and axles were not designed and up to the job very well. Loaders and tractors really came into use and matching up components in the later 60's and 70's up to this day.

I don't know anything about that loader, can you find a loader parts list on line? For normal loader use that tractor should be fine, for heavy every day use a industrial tractor would be better like the other poster is sayin but for normal around farm the ford should handle a loader OK, just do not try to overload it. Used a 2N ford and later a NAA to clean out the cow barn and got by. Neither had power steering, the tractor you are looking about could be either with or without power steering.

Did the loader come off a Ford 860?

If not, it won't fit the tractor without modification. I looked it up and a Koyker 80 loader is for a compact tractor so it probably won't even begin to fit.

About 10 years ago I paid $5000 for a Jubilee. The man showed me
he had put $5000 in parts, labor and new Goodyear tires.
The deal included a RM660, a 6 ft woods finish mower.

Some may say I paid too much. I don't care what others think. I
buy what I want..

If you want an 860 go for it..

If you want a loader, you may rethink your decision.

Old tractors and old tractors with loaders are not the best
thing. Ask Grandpa. He bought a new compact tractor with a
loader..

Kubota is the new deal in Terre Haute for small tractors. Low
interest loans. Small tractors with loaders, backhoes, and
mowers all in one one package deal..Plus a dealer that can
repair it if you are not mechanically inclined. Getting parts
for old tractors and loaders may be a concern too.

Please let us know what you decide. Posting pic is also helpful.

A good deal? It's your money, It's your decision. Something else
to consider.
I won't buy a tractor I can't haul on my implement trailer..
