Boy that picture brings back memory's when me and my brothers would plow with 3 tractors . We would have plowing races to see who plowed faster. We had MM tractors a UB diesel and two ZA's. The UB (3 bottom) was the fastest. One day we plowed into the sun set and some thing happened with two ZA's (2 bottoms). After the sun went down the slower ZA caught up and pasted the other ZA and almost caught up with the UB.

Great photo.
I remember plowing with a JD and someone beside me on another one and when the rpms were almost in sinc, you got the strangest sounds that either made
you think something was coming apart or it almost got silent.
First time that happened, I thought the tractor I was on was about to blow up.

That Phenomenon is known as constructive interference and de-constructive interference. In constructive interference the sound waves amplify each other to make it louder. In de-constructive interference the sound waves cancel each other out. Growing up I experienced the same thing when our A and G were in the field pulling hard. It is neat how you can go from almost silence to a very loud sound.

I didn't wear them because they made my chest just hotter in the summer and when you made a trip to the privy, when you unbuttoned the straps, everything in your top pockets (hopefully) hit the ground.

I have experienced what you are describing when i was a kid ,,Then .when i was 23 , i bought a model F deere M . there were 2 metal buildings that i would drive between,on a damp evening in particular, that model M would bounce off both walls and amplify even at low engine speed. That is not the same thing, but it was unique all the same and immediately took my back to that experience as a kid . ,

We also plowed with MMs 708 FWA, GB, and a U with M5 blocks and pistons. 6 ,5, and 4 bottoms respectively. Bibs were and still are my farmer uniform.
