Rims

YTers, I need a couple of 12x28wheel rims for my Ford 3000. This site has them for $152. The local Les S. store has rims for $340. Would these be the same rims? Are rims different quality? Has anyone purchased these rims from YT? I'd hate to spend double the price for the same rims. Your comments please. Gary

I bought 11 by 28 rims from YT about5 years ago. They work fine.

If you look at the rims they are usually stamped with the size and manufacturer on them either on the tube side or the outside. Most will say titan or unverferth. there are some by firestone and a couple others. The price your local guy has is just more mark up or he just got them since everything went up with the new inflation. Otherwise it is volume making the price too.

Another alternative is to order them from your local commercial tire store. They get bulk orders in periodically so if you can wait you could pay a lot less for shipping.

Check with a local farm equipment dealer also. My best price on rims is from my local JD dealer, they buy direct from unverferth.

just bought a pair of 12x28 rims on EBAY with free shipping, $168 each. Delivered in 4 days. Nice rims.

Just purchased from the local Ford/New holland, best price but have to wait 2 weeks. Usually not the best price. Thanks for your advice.

The last few times I ordered parts through YTMAG, the parts came from All States Ag Parts.

Get my rims from Wengers in new holland ,pa probably got a hundred of that size in stock .
