on the fergie to 20 where does the temperature probe go for a mechanical gauge? i picked one up from napa but the actual probe is too long to go in the cylinder head. my tractor has a bolt in the thermostat housing, would that work? or i picked the deal in the photo from steiner, its for an n series ford but with a little trimming should fit in the upper rad hose .

I don't think it ever had a temp gauge did it?

But if you can adapt it into the hole in the thermostat housing, that's a good place for it.

Is there enough room for the inline fitting between the radiator neck and the thermostat housing?

Next question, will the capillary tube be long enough? On my TO35 it took careful routing to get enough slack in the tube to reach. It was just barely long enough!

not sure if it ever had a t gauge. if i shorten the in line fitting it will work. was not sure if the bolt was the original mounting point?
