Pic of my 300# rear ballast

I needed the ballast to move lose sand.
Without ballast my front wheels would go
down in the sand. It's like quick sand.

Parked it inside pole barn last night and
this morning my front wheels were off the
ground.

That's like the guy driving a tri-axle truck and puts 150 lbs into the lift axle. Comes to a curve and the truck goes straight off the road.

Wheels came off the ground when parked.
The bucket sitting on the floor removed
enough weight to lift the front wheels of
the floor.
Doesn't do that when driving.

Proves rear ballast transfers weight to
rear wheels.

I found that every tractor needs some front weight along with what is on the rear because for most work you need to be able to steer your machine.

I'm not worried. The tractor goes at a fast walk, less than 5
mph and I rarely use the ballast. I don't drive on the road.
Had this terramite for 14 years and never lost control.
No need to worry.
