Do I have a Farmall Super C or regular C?

Tractor does have a water pump and it has the touch control lift system that has 2 arms on each side. I know a water pump can be added. Engine has a bore of 3.125 inches. I know that the increased bore could also be realized through an engine overhaul kit with thinner sleeves. I have a serial plate on the side of the operators seat base that just has the letter C. If it was a super C would it say SC? Someone last weekend said something about casting numbers on top of the operators platform could tell whether it was a super or not. Thanks.

Easiest trick for me is the clutch and brake pedals. Straight arms to the pedals are found on a C. Curved arms to the pedals are found on a Super C.
Hope that helps.

All Cs and Super Cs have the features you have listed.

First, what's the NUMBER on the serial tag? If it's >100000, it's a Super C unless the seat box has been changed out.

Second, a Super C has a 2" air gap between the fuel tank and the top of the touch control. The fuel tank on a C sits directly on top of the touch control.

Third, the brake covers will be a heavy casting on a Super C vs. a smooth tin pan on a C.

I believe two arms on each side for the touch control would be an early C. Also on the C the gas tank sits almost directly on top of the touch control box. On the Super C it is a couple of inches above it.

I have what I think is a 1951 Super C. I brought it on a whim at a auction over 15 years ago. It says C on decal and was listed as such. But after I brought it a guy came up to me and said you know that's a Super C. I have checked the things mentioned on here by others and concluded it was a Super. One thing I do know is I got over 5 grand in it and would probably be real lucky to get a couple thousand for it.

look on the serial number plate,... super c will have an S stamped before the C. same as in all models.

Since you are talking about C's. I wonder if anyone has one with a wide front end? I could use a measurement of the center steering arm. I don't have all of the original one and plan to weld something up. Mine has curved brake pedals and cast brake housings. Plus a waterpump. But someone has drilled a second set of holes in the brackets that hold the fuel tank to the touch control to make it set down level with the radiator cover. So I guess it is a mutt.
