Hole in CASE C Rad

I screw up. I ran into a steel rod and have a hole in my CASE C rad. Does anyone know of a magic product that can be used to plug the hole or does the rad have to go a shop to be repaired.
Thanks Dave

You could crimp and solder the holes or bite the bullet and take it to get repaired/recored, just depends how bad it is.

If you have a good radiator shop in your area would be best for a repair, if it's not to brittle. I put a new core in mine, super easy to do because the tanks unbolt from the core, beware that most of the old bolts will probably try to twist off or break

nothing will plug that hole. you need to pull the fins away and solder it up. might even have to cut the core right off and crimp and solder both end up , all depends on the hole size.
plus presume you know all about the cleanup before soldering.

Would be tough to crimp and solder the tubes for the 2nd and 3rd rows.

Would be easy to solder up the damaged tubes where they go into the tank end plates.I

But that involves taking the rad out and taking the tanks off.

If you go that route, do you have the core serviced by a rad shop, boiled and rodded, cleaning all the tubes out, straightening fins, etc.? Depending on age, the tubes and fins might not survive being serviced in that manner. Fins rot and tubes get too thin. Add the charge for that service might put you real close to a new core at $300+/-.

You really should fix it as has been suggested. With the word Magic in the message I will tell you what I did once that worked. I can't remember if it had 3 or 4 rows. More than 2 anyway.
I applied Evercoat green body putty to both sides of the radiator and it has not leaked for about 15 years with no stop leak product added. This is not a recommended fix for anything.

My Farmall A has had JB Weld in about a 1/16 hole in one tube for 15 years without leaking.
