I posted this on the MF/MH forum as well.

I'm searching for some fuel filter numbers for a friend who has a Massey Harris 555 diesel (382 diesel Continental engine). There are two fuel filters on this engine as follows ....

1) One is a drop in paper cartridge into a steel canister.
2) The 2nd one is a metal-clad (sealed) throwaway filter with two fuel lines ..... one threading into one end and the other threaded into the opposite end.

Does this sound like the original set up (ie two filters, one of each kind I described)?

Part numbers (NAPA or any other brand/make) would be appreciated. The numbers on the filters he has are not readable.

You could go to the NAPA store and ask them. They can look it up. If they still have a real paper book, even better. You dont have to do their job for them. You can also take the old ones with you as a sample.

wixfilters.com
Select Application Lookup, then Off Highway Equipment. Next make, scroll down to Massey Harris; next equipment type (tractor). Next scroll down to the 555 diesel. Shows two numbers for fuel 33104 and 33113. Drop the first digit of the number to get the NAPA number. ie: 3104 and 3113 Both show as being the canister type.

From the Agco parts book.

unless there is some real reason to keep that set up if filters are hard to get go to something else with a spin on or some such program.
