2014 Ram(trailer puller for tractors)The automatic up window switch quit,you can roll the window up by holding the switch but the pull and up function stopped working Friday. Has the switch failed or a relay. It did stop about 6 hours after I got side swiped by a semi.

Could it be the side swiping has caused a slight bind in the window track system?
I believe it is a safety requirement that the window stops and or opens if there might be resistance via an arm or childs head etc.

here's the link. I will try this first thing in the morning. Thanks a lot! I did get a call from my favorite body shop, $3500.00 worth of damage. It is tempting to take the check, but I ll fix it. It s only got 196000. miles on it.

The last time I got a used switch from a junk yard, the owner suggested to take it apart and clean it. When I got home I did take it apart and clean it, and it works. Over time the contacts wear and get dirty. It's your call, buy new or clean the old one.
