alternator for 22 MH

Got a 22 MH that I converted to 12 volts with a generator years ago, want to switch to an alternator. Don't want a one wire thinking a GM internally regulated one. Anyone know a vehicle model or a part number that would work. Would like to use the pully from the generator on the alternator if possible. Thanks.

Gm used the 10si from about 72 on everything up to about 86 on some. Anything 76 through 81 gm should be what you want. The amp is usually stamped on the case. As Old said with no power anything would be the lower amp around 37 would be fine for a tractor. Some fully loaded vehicles used a high amp 90 -105 or so that was a larger diameter. You don't need that.

Delco 10SI alternators are AWESOME.

On the other hand, you are working with an smaller tractor without the need for a lot of charging Amps.

GOOGLE ''mini alternator'' or ''racing alternator'' for some smaller alternative choices that will tuck in nicely where the generator was.
