tpm tire pressure monitor

I just went through this with me 2011 F150. I ended up getting the ForScan tool and deleting them. Cost me $65. Might be a better option....

I bought an set of A/C Delco ones on eBay for my 2010 Silverado. I have a tire machine so I installed and programmed them myself.

I called around and ended up at Discount Tire for 150. installed a year ago on 2007 Chev HD. Took them less than a hour.

I replaced mine on the 07 Impala about five years ago. The cheapest I could find on Ebay. About twenty-five dollars for four placed in my hot little hand by the mailman. They're still working fine. YMMV TDF

Someone has to remove the tire to install them.
I would go to my favorite Tire Barn store and let them do the job..
They might give you a discount if they sold you new tires.
Not everything can be repaired.
I'm guessing the TPS battery is dead..

I was in wallyworld looking at tires and had no idea as to how long my TPMs would last if I didn't change them with the new tires. Tire installer said that if one fails after the purchase its not a problem to mount new ones. Said the cost of the TPM and the fact that you bought the tires here covers any installation fee. No mention of having to remove the tire. Just break one side and push it back out of the way for the exchange he said.

I asked the state inspector about TPM requirements for state inspection. Inspector said that there is no requirement for the TPM service light to be out to pass inspection. So, the last set of tires I bought I had regular valve stems installed and keep tabs on my tires like I did for 50+ years. The TPMs is over in the corner of the dash and doesn't annoy me being on.

(quoted from post at 08:37:38 07/27/22) amybody know of good price or rebuilt source for tpm. want set for 2010 Silverado

Ok, everyone here is assuming that you want to replace a malfunctioning set of transmitters.

The way you word it, "want set for 2010 Silverado" it sounds like you might want to be adding an aftermarket TPMS to your truck?

You can get a set of supposedly genuine AC Delco sensors for around $40 shippped on Ebay. O'Reillys is asking $50-60 average for ONE sensor.

I want my TPS working properly.
Saves gas and saves tires too.
$1100 for new tires.
I have my TPS display on all the time.
Each to their own.

I assume you have a way to dismount and mount your tires, or you have a friendly tire shop that will replace the sensors for cheap. If you plan on taking the latter route, I'd call ahead and get a price from them. Ask how much they'll charge to replace the sensors using their parts and how much they'll charge if you supply the sensors.
