Uncut, unrestored 1964 International Scout 80 has accumulated fewer miles than many people drive in a year

This 1964 International Scout 80 listed for sale on Hemmings.com, a wee beast with less than 12,000 miles on it
1964 Scout

Looks like a quickie paint job. Emblems painted over and quite a few dents in the walls of the bed.

Appreciate it , but I only collect THE SCOUT II latter vehicle. I saw that one it it is overpriced, pretty rough. Thanks for thinking about me.

Interesting post George ..... too many red flags in the description for me to consider believing it's a 12,000 mile truck. Mind you, I tend to be a bit of a Doubting Thomas with these kinds of claims. If it is true, then someone made a big mistake painting it and putting in new bed wood and rails, etc. Just my two cents of course ....

I owned one Scout II.It had a Nissan diesel in it.It was good for plowing small driveways, but the windows were always fogged up.You either backed up by sound,or plowed with the windows down.I had a few of the earlier Scouts, one had a 304 V8 in it.That one was kind of a pointless vehicle, the extra power was of no use in it.A friend has one with a 258 six,now that make it much better all around vehicle.

You were the first person I thought of when I read the article.

How is the retired farmer doing?

Lots of red flags here, Scouts all had steel beds in them, don't know why someone would of added wood to it. Just because the odometer says less than 12,000 doesn't make it so!
