Third ear is smaller.
Most only have 2 ears.
How rare is it to have 3 ears?

Ahh some what,if it gets dry, less than optiman growing condition, it provide food for the other two ears !!!!

It s not rare to have three ears at this stage of growth. In the end there might be only one ear or if there is two ears one will be dominant and the other ear won t be much for size.

If it is in a situation where it is the end plant in a row, I've seen up to 4. In that situation, 3 of which can be significant. Most times though with normal population only 1 ear amounts to anything, and the others are just food storage for the main ear.
