1955 Cat D7 Bull Dozer Question

I have a 1955 Caterpillar D7, I'm trying to figure out where the oil pressure port is for the gauge. I'm hoping one of the old-school guys can help me identify it.

I think it's a small port behind the left oil filter. It's capped with a small fitting, I removed it, but it looks more like a set screw for something behind the cover. I'm being cautious so as not to create a bigger issue by assuming it's the port for the gauge.

If it looks like those little deals with the 2 flats on them they are bleeders for the fuel. Those look more like the oil filters. The line with what looks like a spring over it should be the temperature gauge capillary tube. I would expect the oil gauge to be plumbed off the block at an oil gallery not the filter.

Hello Parker welcome to YT! I assume the original
gauge is not connected now? If it is I would just follow
the line down. That may be overstating the obvious but
sometimes you never know. I have no idea if this will
help you but here is a link to the Cat online parts
pages. You will need the machines serial number to get
into the diagrams. I have no idea if the diagram shows
the connection point to the engine.

You are correct, there is a gauge but no line, a little history on the machine. It belong to a family member that past away, he had to replace a stuck piston at one point. My guess he removed the line and never replaced it.. where ever it went is not obvious. the one crimped Line I did see that thought was it, goes to the injector pump.
