Ice cream making

Put together this ice cream making machine for our Independence Day celebration. This was my grandfathers John Deere 50. Going to add a longer pto shaft with a block bearing to take the wobble out and add a 2nd freezer.
Any ideas on a ice crusher? I'm thinking along the lines of a #80 Letz feed mill.

That is COOL.
I need to get my 1912 Fairbanks-Morse Eclipse cranked and making ice cream again.
It wears the gears out in my White Mountain rig very fast.

We used to use a crank and casting looked like that one. Used it till the barrel rotted out and had to replace it. Or the tin tank rusted out don't remember now been 30 plus years ago when it happened. Yes homemade Ice cream is good. We made it with peaches in it for peach and raspberies in it for that and some other ones. Just cut in slices and add to ice cream mix when filling and let stir in as you freeze the mix for your ice cream.

Well, mine was a hand cranked one and the gears wore out very quickly.
You could see the dust on top of the lid after each use.
I bought more gears and they wore out quickly also.
I think when I set it up again, I will find steel gears and make my own gear box on top.

I've looked at the freezers people have running on the hit miss engines at shows.

They are a whole different animal than the hand crank models!

Commercial heavy duty all around! Probably hard to find and expensive!

That is why I will build my own just using my ice cream container and dasher from my old White Mountain.
