most corn i see around ne ga. is short an burnt up....what do yall use for fertlizer sure looks healthy an green...dewy

The corn in our area was seeded late, last of May, first couple days of June, but its all going to make knee high also, amazing crop!!!

We struggled with a cold damp deep frost spring here, lot of corn is playing with either side of knee high, some might not make it in 2 days.

Some Rare years we are close to tasseling in a week or so. Wont be this year!

Fertilizer depends a lot on the area. MI anhydrous has gotten pretty much unavailable due to insurance for the suppliers according to them. Most would put on somewhere in the 150-350 per acre os a starter or 3-50 gallon of liquid if 28% is added to the regular fertilizer then some urea or 28 side dressed at about 6inches to knee high or the urea is spread preplant and worked in lightly then planted.

Dewy, this year I scattered lime and 13-13-13 then disked it in before planting. Most years we just scatter the compost pile and disk it in good. Used 50 lbs of each on the garden 200'x50

Kevin, I'm still worried that your corn will cross pollinate. Please let me and all of us know how that turns out so we know what to do in the future. Maybe they will tassel at different times and you'll be ok.
