Canada Day Car Show

Sorry, just antique cars, not tractors. Although there was a John Deere 5020 in the parade which I never got to record. The antique car show was definitely worth taking a day off work and getting the Merc and Chevy II entered. No prize winners but they are fun to drive and show.

Canada Day Cars

(quoted from post at 18:50:34 07/02/22) That two tone Chev pickup, always one of my favourite trucks. I had a C20 with a 4 speed. Tough trucks, and easy on the eyes.
This one was a 72 GMC and was one of the winners at the end of the show. Very nice truck.

Thanks for the video, very good as always. Belated Happy Canada Day to all our friends to the North!

(quoted from post at 06:56:18 07/03/22) Need a little magic on those door panels. These are my originals and the ones' I just made for my 49 Pontiac.
You are right. I need new door panels. You did some nice work on yours but that is way beyond my skill levels so I am stuck with the old ragged originals until they fall off unless I go ahead and buy new.

Making door panels might be one of the easiest parts of a restoration.

I am not an upholsterer by any stretch but I made new door panels, kick panels and a rear window package tray for my '51 Dodge.
You make it sound possible. I did make the rear package shelf for the Merc as the old one was gone. I just cut out heavy cardboard in the right shape and laid carpet over it. Crude but does the job. Held down by gravity though. My problem with door panels was figuring out how to attach the new ones after the old spring clips break or go missing.

I used to be able to give you a LIKE on your videos, but now it won't let me. Wonder what I'm doing wrong? And I like this one of course.

Ron I don't know what you could be doing wrong but 57 people have liked the video so far.
Carlmac 369 I've had one inner door panel off he ar for several years so could experiment with it trying to make a pattern for a new one.
