What is it from?

I found this stuck on a field cultivator sweep about a month and a half ago. Picked up in the field. I can almost remember what it might be but not quite. The U shaped end appears to have some wear on the inside of it as if maybe it had a cable going thru it. ????

I would think it was a cable clevis from an oil well hooked to a ''jerk line''- if it was found in just about any other state but oil-reserves-poor Wisconsin!

Very possible. The last horses in that field were in 1947.

My first thought was a John Deere plow clevis, but I don't recall those having 2 sets of holes.

It's not big enough for that. I'm assuming you mean the clevis used to attach plow to tractor drawbar.
