JD HPX Gator

I had no luck on the JD forum so Ill ask hear, I bought a used JD HPX Gator with 900 hours on it. Runs good, looks good, no leaks but it has a gas smell when you park it. What would cause this?

I'm not familiar with this Gator, but does it have a cannister to filter gas fumes from the system? Gas smell is often associated with the vent on the fill pipe. A manual would maybe answer your question

A leak may be hard to find if it is pooling somewhere and not hitting the floor, like inside the filter box.

Or could be just the nature of the way it's designed. If there is no evaporative emissions control there will be gas vapor escaping.

Also if there is no fuel shut off solenoid on the carb there will be gas vapor in the exhaust system when it is shut off, especially if the idle is high.

I have a 2018 TH 6X4 that has the same issue. Can never find any evidence of a leak. Dealer told me it was venting through the carb and there was nothing that could be done.
