Just passing on a couple problems and cures I have had with my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 4 door LZT. First I was having problems filling the gas tank. I couldn't get 5 seconds of gas into the tank without the gas pump shutting off. I had to fill the tank with the gas nozzle just inserted slightly so the air could escape. If you look into where the gas pump nozzle goes you will see it fits the nozzle very tight. Gas goes in and the air in the tank has to go out. That air vents through a vapor canister. If you drive a lot gravel roads the canister gets plugged. Sure enough, a new canister and the tank fills like the pickup was new! I was also having a gas smell between the cab and box. People would say I smell gas. Well I knew it but I had to finish planting before I could do these repairs. The little metal pipe coming out of the pump had rusted badly and was starting to seep gas. It would get all of the road dust on top of the tank wet and then evaporate giving off the smell. I never had a puddle of gas. Actually when I lowered the tank the corrosion was so bad the metal pipe actually broke off. It was time to get it fixed before I got stranded on the road. These two problems are fairly simple to diagnose, not terrible to fix, but both the canister and pump are pretty pricey.
