Ordered 2 rear tires for my JD 855 off ebay early Friday AM from tiresshipped2you in Michigan,said they'd be here by this Wednesday.Got an update from Fedex says they will be delivered today(Sunday).They did leave Hagerstown MD at 9:30 PM last night headed my way,about 120 miles distance probably headed to Staunton VA. Think they will be delivered today?
 

They'll probably arrive. Shipping is a funny thing these days--when I'm not in a hurry I'll choose the cheapest option that says a week or so for delivery and more than once I've had it arrive the next day. Gerrit
 
Fedex is fairly good but dont ever trust the USPS for anything. They have lost two of my Amazon orders and are constantly late three or four days.My friend sent her taxes top IR five days before due date and they arrived two weeks late causing her a 3000$ penalty. Post mark was 6 days after she mailed it at the post office.
 
Good for you! The FedEx distribution center for this area is two hours (one way) from me. I've had orders that say it will be a Sunday delivery before, but by the end of the day it conveniently gets put off until Monday. I can't say that I blame them.
 
Delivery on the weekend is becoming common because we are so backed up with home deliveries.

We are on mandatory rotation for weekend work. They bring in enough people to fill every home delivery truck we have so we can try to make service dates.

Im betting the first delivery date you got was from the shipper. They were giving the carrier ample time to make the delivery. Maybe a few extra days to keep you from complaining if they were a day or two late.

Once fedex got the shipment they changed the delivery date to what they could handle.
 
when sending anything governmental, state sales tax,IRS,etc I always spend just a little extra and use certified mail with a return receipt.

I have used certified mail for such items for 42 years .

I had an issue once with the state of Michigan with a sales tax return, I produced the return receipt made a duplicate that I sent in and that was the end of the argument.
 
Good deal.

Locally Fedex isnt the best, UPS is the better deal by far but it seems to be a regional thing on that.

Weekend deliveries, who would have thought....
