I want to use my 3010 to rake hay today, but the rims are so bad from fluid that I am scared to use it. I have been waiting for a couple months for the tire guy to come out and pump that hateful stuff out. Time is up, Im gonna take them to him. But I need the tractor today, so these 16.9s went on last night.

Left side is original 15.5, right side is 16.9

Seems so strange to see such a big tractor used for RAKING our raking was done with a 2N,Mowing was with an F-12 and baling with our big tractor,a WD

A 3020 is a comfortable tractor to rake with in a rough field. I usually rake with a Farm-all 400 gas or a MF 65 diesel. Sometimes if I am done mowing for awhile I unhook my 3020 diesel from the haybine and use it to rake. That narrow front 400 rides pretty rough in a rough field.

My oldest brother had 3020 diesel he bought new in 65 a couple years later replaced
15.5/38 with 16.9/38 That made a tractor out of it

Son had the same problem with his 3020. He switched to 16.9x38's also. They looked good on it.

If the 3020 is a diesel it is about just as cheap to run it compared to a gas tractor like a 2N.

i was waiting for someone to say your going to screw up the diff. that will never happen though.

What will never happen? Screw up the diff or someone saying it will screw up the diff?

someone saying that, as that is the first thing they say when they see two different tires on the rear.

That pic was taken halfway thru job. It has 16.9 on both sides

we always raked with a 3020 gas, with a loader, it was also the tractor loading round bales in the field. It was used because it was the smallest tractor we had.
