When I was a kid in the '50's, we used a two wheel trailer for gathering corn. We positioned a 1 X 12 board similar to the one
in this picture over the tailgate as a scoop board to help us have a place to start the scooping when we got to the barn. I said
us, but, often as not, it was just me by myself. I'm glad I don't have that to do anymore. It was always a hot job.
