That made a difference, no more shaking

Still not feeling great, I am still +. I have done a couple small mowing jobs. My flail mower started shaking. I thought it was going to shake apart. I took the tractor off the trailer, and backed the mower over my favorite 3 ft ledge. Now I can sit in my chair and check the under side of the mower. The first thing I found was two sets of blades, and the hangers missing. In the same spot. I replaced four blades, and two hangers. now it's not shaking like it was. Four blades and two hangers probably weighed over 1/2 pound, spinning at the speed of sound (not really, but very fast) Doesn't take much to get the blade drum out of balance.

Yes, when I used a flail mower I'd know immediately when I lost a set of knives.

Glad to hear you're getting over That Which Cannot Be Named.

I bought a used Rears heavy duty flail mower a few years ago. Rears Manufacturing is located in Eugene, Oregon which is around 100 miles from me. I took the drum out and bought it to Rears to balance and replace the knives. I understand they also balance other brands of mowers.
