Tractor hub

If I ever get the rear hub off my 1950 Ford 8n tractor, how hard is it to put the hub back on the axle? Im hoping it has just one outer oil seal which is leaking. Any answers?

You have cross-posted this on several
Forums, as you were told before the hub
fits on tapered splines and once it
breaks loose it should come off (& go
back on) easily. The nut then needs to be
TIGHTENED, 300 or 350 lbs./foot, IIRC,
but verify that. You won't know 100% what
you need 'til you get in there, as
several seal setups were used and stuff
can get mixed and swapped over 70 years.
If you know your serial number you MAY be
able to figure out exactly what you need
on the cnh parts website, but I think
that's even a bit ambiguous on the later
8N rear axle seals.
