Seasonal transmission fluid?

My Oliver Super 77 has a loud wine to it somewhere in the transmission. I knew that I had not changed the oil in it. The operators manual said to use seasonal transmission fluid. I figured it just used 90W. What do you guys use in the transmission/rearend? It is close to full with some kind of fluid.

There is a big difference in oil now from when it was new. Those transmissions are loud, that way from new because of the way the gears are cut. They are all splash lubed, no pump in the transmission. If you have heavy oil in it like 140wt gear lube, it would be like tar in really cold weather and if you could get it to move, there wouldn't be any oil flowing into bearings etc for lubrication. The new oils are thin like motor oil at 85w90. The lucas helps thicken the oil and stick to surfaces better. I tried adding a gallon to my 880 but didn't notice any difference in the noise level.

At a tractor pull or other event with many different brands of old tractors driving around you can easily notice the difference between the Olivers and most others.
