Almost a tractor!

Son never got his pre-plant herbicide down because of the weather and decided to plant soybeans and spray them pre-emerge so he asked me if I would run the sprayer--Have not ran it for 7 years but to get the crop in said yes... It has been too windy about every day but kept plugging away at it--only got one batch Monday because of the wind but heard the forecast for Tuesday and got up early--5:30 AM and had a good day for a old man. We got done planting soybeans yesterday and I almost caught him and got done spraying at 8:15 last night!--Rode that ol sprayer for 14 hrs. yesterday--Tired---Tee

Pics of my old home place on the left--3/4 mi. rows--can get a lot done when you aren't always turning around.

It is not a new sprayer but since son has it he put in a GPS system in it--Tells what is sprayed and what is not--plots what sprayed but the color change--yellow is sprayed and green is not. It only takes 60 ft. but when there are no rows to count it comes in handy!

I have that system with auto steer in my tractor which pulls the sprayer, drill, and fert spreader. I recently got another tractor similar in size, and am thinking of adding auto steer to that. We'll see how the summer goes.

We have a 6000 without a cab. It's definitely not a new machine, but it's in good shape. They're definitely spraying machines that will pull like a tractor and are simple. The main thing I liked about the 6000 to 6500's were they are universal about the tread width. One day we may need to use ours about spraying tobacco, and the rest of the week it may be pulling duty in the corn or soybeans. It's definitely a major upgrade from a Hahn !

Certified to be doing that I suppose. Sounds like the kid is working the old man pretty hard. Your supposed to be retired you know. How you been Tee? Still plugging along here.

My Dad had a 3 wheel 6000 without a cab also-did not run it much--was brothers job to spray when we all farmed together--I was the planter guy. After my Dad died I bought a Deere 734 sprayer--3 cylinder gas motor--200 gal tank--can we say ANTIQUE..

This is my first go with any kind of GPS--Son bought my 8130 and is his planter tractor--I get in it and have no idea what all the TV sets are for--Looked for the Playboy channel and couldn't find it---
