One Step Closer To Seeding

Its late and getting later to start seeding here but weather is staying wet and cool. A few of the big operators have been going whenever possible to get some of
their many thousand acres in but I have not even hitched up to the air seeder yet.
The final step last night we got the dry fertilizer tank installed in the truck ready to go . Dry fertilizer delivered here two days ago on the one dry day this
week.
Another good rain last night and more forecast for tomorrow.
Some video of unloading the fertilizer with the JD 2140 and cleaning up the auger after.

Yesterday I buried my pull behind sprayer trying to get close to the edge of a couple fields, once bad enough I had to get another, bigger tractor to pull it out. Thunderstorms are forecast for this afternoon, that should help dry the fields.

Sounds like wet conditions where you are too. Believe it or not they actually mentioned the possibility of snow in the next couple of days. Heavy rain combined with well below normal temperatures. At least the grass is growing and cattle are eating.

Hi rusty6. Glad to here you are getting closer to putting some seed in the ground. We finished up seeding our crop on Saturday and desperately need rain. Some of our crop will not come up till it does. As I right this message the wind here is up to and gusting over 60 miles per hour. Visibility because of dust blowing was down to about one and a half miles. Good luck with your seeding. Ill send a couple pictures of my last fertilizer and seed fill on Saturday.

Land to the horizon and not one fence--Like it!!--Beats the hell out of some of our small fields...

Wow, that is hard to believe we are in adjoining provinces because things are the opposite here. No seeding progress here on my farm and not a lot in the area. It just keeps raining. I have had over 5 inches in just over a week. I just sent the drone up for some photos and the sloughs are actually getting bigger and small creeks starting to flow again. Cold weather and more rain forecast for the next few days. Not looking good.

We are in the same boat you are in just south of you. Actually got a 1/2 week ago but its so dry the ground is moving again. Actually started a fire Sunday with our disk drill.

(quoted from post at 18:13:57 05/18/22) Hey rusty6. Just watched your video. I have a reverser kit on my augers that make the clean up a lot easier. Can you put one on yours??
This one has a reverser but it only cleans out the tubes. There are ledges and corners in that side auger that fertilizer lodges in and can only be blown out with high pressure air and a lot of time and effort.
