John Deere B starter question

The starter pedal does not connect to the starter. It lacks about 3/8 of an inch of getting to the button on the starter so it is not pushing it in. I bought a book but it says nothing about whether there is any adjustment to the starter pedal or linkage. I'm gonna pull the flywheel cover in the morning and see what I can find out, but thought someone on here may have an answer before I do. Keith

Guys, disregard my question. I got off my butt, went down to the shop and pulled the flywheel cover screws out and adjusted the yoke. It took all of five minutes to get it done and the starter engages as it should now. Just too lazy to go check, but I do have to admit, it's hard for me to get back up once I get down on a creeper these days even with my new hips, I still have to kinda roll around and grab ahold of something to get myself up but that's the good thing about the B, I can reach the side rail and pull me up. Isn't getting old fun.

And you hope your feet dont slip and go out from under you when you are half way up off the floor when you pull yourself up. And we look for something to grab to pull ourself back up before we go down on the floor. Its nice when we find an easy fix for a problem we think will be hard to conquor. I am bad for overthinking problems.
